CHAPTER INCEPTION

Kappa Nu Chapter #718 of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc was founded on September 9, 1969 in Endicott, New York by the following ten Omega Men:

· David E. Burch

· Michael N. Jessup

· William M. Gordon

· Jesse Henderson

· John Higginbotham

· Robert Warrington

· Isaac Jones

· Paul Lambert

· Andrew Johnson

· Henry Reese

The Chapter Charter was obtained on April 24, 1970.

The First Chapter Officers were:

Basileus	Jesse Henderson
Vice Basileus	John Higginbotham
Keeper of Records and Seal	David E. Burch
Keeper of Finance	Isaac Jones
Chaplain	Robert Warrington

Some of the first Chapter Projects instituted were:

· Tutorial Program

· Annual Picnic

· Big Brother Program, with Susquehanna Valley Home

· Founders Day Program at Trinity AME Zion Church

· Sponsorship of Black Music Radio Program @ WALL Radio Station

· Annual donations to NAACP as well as Trinity Zion Church Building Fund

· Annual donations to the Beautiful Plains Church

The first graduate pledge line was initiated August 1971.

Decades later, Kappa Nu Chapter continues to thrive, grow, and serve our Beloved Fraternity and the community, reaching new heights of excellence every day.
